I'm Mariel Whitney, founder of 17C Studio, a web design studio based in Holland, Michigan. Behind every business is a person with a story. The ideas, risks, and heart that most people never see. That's why I started 17C.
I get to know you, understand what makes your business unique, and create a website that shares your story.
You'll work directly with me from start to finish, with ongoing support after launch. I work with independent businesses across the United States.
A little more about my story
My love for helping people started long before I ever thought about designing websites. I grew up serving the people around me, going on my first mission trip at 13, and over the years, that desire to help people and see them succeed only grew.
Back in high school, I started a small business called /sɑːn.dɚ/ (SAHN-duhr)The realization that other people have lives as complex and meaningful as your own., a name and idea that have stayed with me ever since.
It shapes how I work: personal collaboration, lasting relationships, and a website that feels unmistakably yours.
Behind every business is a person with a story. There are years of work, late nights, big ideas, risks taken, lessons learned, and a whole lot of heart that most people never get to see.
That’s a big part of why I started 17C.
But what about the name 17C?
